COVID-19 DELIVERY/PICKUP/CURBSIDE POLICY Effective AUGUST 2020
Since reopening at the end of May 2020, I have been wearing a mask when I deliver any orders. I will call ahead and confirm that I am on-route and request that the person on the receiving end wear a mask or stand back within the social distancing guidelines. I have been following the CDC recommendations. I will take Venmo payments and cash/check for all orders. If you are picking up and order, I have an outside table that I will place your order on and stand by for any questions that you may have.
When you order from Lauri’s Cakes you will need to pay a retainer of half of the amount prior to my baking your ordered items.
If you cancel 24hrs prior to delivery, you will have to pay the full amount of the order. No exceptions. I can refuse service in the future. A repaid full amount is non refundable. If you change the date of the order after signing the contract WITHOUT informing me of this change, an additional charge will apply. All signed contracts are final.
A 35% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your order; the remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 25% non-refundable deposit. This is for all orders over $35.00. NO TEXT MESSAGES for orders, I require phone calls or emails.
NO SAME DAY ORDERS/DELIVERIES, a seven (7) day notice is required. This also applies to an order for next day delivery.
Payment can be made by cash, check (in person) or credit card (Visa, AmEx, or Mastercard, and Discover) through Venmo. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full by credit card at the time of ordering. Retainers are non-refundable.
CANCELLATIONS / MISSED PICK UPS – I require 72 hours notice to cancel an order. The non-refundable retainer will be applied as a credit to your next order in the event that a family emergency has postponed your event and you have given us at least 72 hours notice.
In the event of Missed or Forgotten Pickups, we make every attempt to contact you before we close. Your order will be available for pickup until the following business day, but you are responsible for the remaining balance in the event of a no-show. Retainers will not be refunded.
Any inquiries can be directed by phone or email. I do not take cake requests by text messaging from cell phones.
Lauri’s Cakes does not offer refunds for custom cake orders. Lauri’s Cakes and its management reserve the right to offer any type of compensation for any order, be it custom design or gift certificate purchase. Due to food regulations I cannot accept any product for return.
All cancellations and modifications to any order must be made 7 days prior to the receiving or delivery date of the order.
Cancellation fee: Minimum of 10% plus any charges incurred due to work in progress, materials, or research.
After you place the order, I will contact you within 48 hours with the final price including delivery. To confirm all orders, I require 50% Retainer for orders over $100.00 and payment in full for orders under $100.00 before your order is complete. All delivery based orders require payment in full regardless of amount.

How I calculate the order is based on my cooking time, shopping time for the ingredients, costs of the ingredients and the cost of the packaging or decorations involved.
